9 Items you need to re-open your newborn portrait studio during the COVID19 pandemic Corona virus

As a former NICU nurse I take the health of my studio very seriously. As businesses its our job to protect our clients to best of our ability. In the coming weeks I be prepping my studio to re-open for newborn and baby sessions with the following items.

SANITIZE YOUR SPACE

These are the EXACT gloves and cleaning solution I used in the NICU when I was a nurse. This solution is powerful – gloves must be worn when using and because the scent is powerful a mask my be helpful as well.

PROTECT YOURSELF

Masks and sanitizer may be hard to come by but are essential – Order sooner rather than later. A HEPPA filter can also help to reduce airborne particles – a costly measure but certainly beneficial.

REDUCE CONTAMINATION

Measures should be taken to protect your client wardrobe from being contaminated and thus LESS laundry for you.

TIPS:

  • Pulling your clients wardrobe prior to their arrival.
  • Create catalog of your wardrobe with images of each piece. Load them into a gallery and allow your client to shop prior to arrival and have thier clothing ready.
  • Place wraps, headbands, posing blankets into covered bins and only remove what you need.
  • Require EVERYONE to wash hands upon arrival (I plan to place a sign on the door)
  • Require clients to remove shoes at the door.
