Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph a newborn lifestyle photography session with this handsome little man! On May 31st, Henry Stephen was welcomed into the world by his parents, Mike and Jessica. Weighing 9 lb. 10 oz. and measuring at 22.25 in., this sweet family was thrilled to have a healthy baby boy to bring home. It was nothing less than humbling for me to photograph such a loving family. I was absolutely in awe. As you can see, little Henry took everyone’s breath away, including his older brother Anderson (age 2). There’s nothing more rewarding than capturing the love between two siblings. Just look at these two!
I am beyond thankful that the Henry’s Family invited me into their Tampa home to catch a glimpse of their new life as a family of 4. While I was there, I had a chance to chat with Jessica and learn how the nursery came together. With matching sheets and changing pad cover from The Land of Nod, this room was more than adorable. Mike and Jessica found the fabric for the quilt and crib skirt while poking around in an antique shop in Downtown Fort Myers. McKay from Oatmeal Lace Designs did an amazing job with the small amount of fabric they gave her. The quilt and crib skirt weren’t the only items that were one of a kind in Henry’s room. The cross stitch was made by Jessica’s mother when Jessica was a little girl herself. Even the book case garland was one of a kind. Jessica made the garland for Anderson’s 1st birthday party and was lucky enough to put it to use once again. Jessica’s colorful garland corresponded wonderfully with the garland over Henry’s crib, which was purchased at Simple Details Design. Letters spelling out Henry’s name hung right below the garland. This wall art came from Gallery Wood Letters. Other artwork included a Where the Wild Things Are quote from Lilly La Manch and a Bible verse from Printable Wisdom. With the rug from Ballard Designs and the lamp from HomeGoods to complete the room, this nursery was definitely picture perfect.
Not only did I find their home with the Stork welcoming baby Henry home but while I was there the Henry ‘s family received a sweet care package from a fellow mommy of Henry’s play group through The Moms of South Tampa “MOST”. It was just too sweet to not snap a shot of! Its these little details that will bring back memories for years to come! Im so excited to send over their gallery – SO MANY amazing photos!
I was reminded once again of why I love to photograh newborns! Families like the Henry’s, make my job as a photographer and artist such a blessing. Welcome home Henry!
