These two recently moved to Tampa, how lucky for me! I loved working with and capturing the sweet beauty of this absolutely glowing mama as their Tampa Maternity Natural Light Photographer. We not only were able to get some truly stunning portrait images, but had amazing conversations throughout the entire session. Arash is an architect who, get this, typically designs ICU’s, and it currently working on the NICU for St. Jospeh’s South. What a serendipitous coincidence as I worked for years at St. Josephs’s Women’s Hospital as a NICU nurse.
I loved that I was able to share my experience with the floor plans of the NICU from someone with intimate familiarity. As someone who worked 12+ hour shifts, I was well versed in the pros and cons of the flow of the various elements of the floor and how they affected the efficiency of the unit as a whole. Seemingly simple things like properly located breast milk refrigerators, staff stations, and privacy areas made a world of difference when it came to the day to day operations. Being able to shed some light on, and share the genuine concerns and priorities of a NICU nurse gave me such happiness.
Alyssa was absolutely stunning, dressed in one of the gowns from my in-studio wardrobe by Free People. She had her hair and makeup done by the oh-so talented Lindsey Palen of Lindsey Palen Makeup Artistry. The location we picked was just off Lithia Pinecrest Road in Lithia Springs Park. What a perfect environment to capture this dreamy maternity session, bathed in the golden light of the Tampa Sunset!
