Annelise + Elijah | A Tampa Family First Birthday Session

It’s well known by parents that babies grow up entirely too fast. One day you’re rocking them to sleep praying for some rest for yourself, the next they’re asking to stay out past curfew and you’re still wondering where that elusive “rest” they speak of is. As photographers, we sometimes get lucky enough to watch your family and babies grow as well. It’s bittersweet watching them change so much year to year.

This Sweet Family of Four

Mike and Caroline were photographed along with their sweet and snuggly twins for a newborn lifestyle session just a short year ago. Recently, we got together again for the twins’ one year photo shoot, and my have they grown! Elijah was a natural in front of the camera, and those sweet curls are nothing short of amazing. His sister Annelise, who usually takes longer to warm up, didn’t seem to have any problems on this session whatsoever! They were both all smiles and sunshine as they played and posed with Mom and Dad in the golden afternoon light.

If the first year raising one baby is hard, I’ve heard multiples is on a whole other level. You would never know it looking at this adorable family. They make it look easy, and fun! I can still hear those sweet giggles and squeals of delight coming from Annelise and Elijah as they rocked their one year session. The happiness from this crew was literally tangible. I’m so looking forward to watching these sweet babies continue to grow, and documenting these special times for them in the years to come.
