I spent a dreamy afternoon with the Gale family to capture their sweet guy, Shep, at his six-month mark. It’s impossible to escape the Florida heat this time of year, but we had the perfect spot under the trees—a little bit of shade and a lot of gorgeous light.

His cheeks and giggles stole the show, but Shep looked like a little man in his preppy outfit. Mom’s white dress brought the look of the whole session to another level with fresh, southern scallops. Collecting photos of your child as they grow is special and so important, but I love to help capture what the entire family looks like as they grow through the seasons. It’s sweet in years to come to look back and see how you enjoyed each other and laughed as a family. The Gales will have memories like that by the dozens.

About This Milestone Session

Shep has to be one of the jolliest babies I have ever met. He’s not just happy, but full on jolly. Experiencing the typical teething and drooling of a one year old, Shep was so sweet; and big sister is absolutely smitten with him, understandably so. Neither one of the kiddos fussed or complained in our hot and sweaty Florida summer session. By the time we loaded up in the cars, Shep had fallen asleep. Being one and adorable gets exhausting!
