Grimes Maternity Session

Stephanie and Michael Jackson are expecting their first child together – a baby girl! – this month. With just a couple weeks to go at the time of the session, they wanted to do relaxing, romantic maternity session to really savor this precious time as husband and wife and expecting parents. 

I thought St. Pete’s Beach, Florida would be the perfect place for them to unwind and focus on each other before their little one makes her grand debut! Early evening, just before sunset, is my favorite time to go. At that time of day, most families have gone home and things have quieted down. I’ve photographed at this beach many times, but the beauty and serenity still captivate me. I think Stephanie and Michael were equally happy to be out here, too.

Sure enough, we had another lovely evening. The sun had softened to a glow, and the waves lapped slowly against the sand. It was so peaceful I think we were all a little surprised when our time was up. Stephanie looked amazing in her flowing gown that perfectly accentuated her baby bump. They are not sure what the future might hold as far as children go, so they have really made it a priority to cherish every moment of this exciting journey – pregnancy discomfort and all. I’m so glad they made time to document it!

Now that the due date is quickly approaching they are more eager than ever to meet their little girl. Just like all parents, they can’t wait to see her pretty face and introduce each other. It’s so hard to wait those nine long months, especially as you feel them fluttering around. You just want to be able to hold them in your arms and feel their soft skin. There’s nothing like it, and I can’t wait for Stephanie and Michael to experience that kind of love!
