Let’s be honest, at some point, we reach our perfect number of children. But that doesn’t mean we stop preserving memories. At Brittany Elise Photography the Annual Family Albums our client’s favorite way to continue the tradition started in your child’s first year for years without first-year collective membership. Every individual session can be turned into an album! Transfer from a first year filled with four different sessions to one session a year. Whether it’s for your child’s birthday, for holidays, or just because! Every year can be preserved as an album that you and your family can cherish for years to come!

Albums are very important for my family and for many of the families, I get the honor to photograph. We all reach a point where we love the photos on our walls and the moments they preserve. We want to always be preserving memories as a whole. That’s why albums are such a great alternative to frames. In my collective membership specifically, my clients can create an album dedicated to their child’s first year of life from maternity to 1st birthday. But, why should they stop there? Every birthday afterward can become an album.

You can create an annual family album in any way you would like. I swap each year for each child’s birthday. This year my oldest’s birthday session will be the album and next year it’ll be my middle and the year after that will be my youngest. They’re always family sessions so I’m still getting to see the change in each of my babies over time. But that’s just my way of doing it. You can have a normal family session as your album – no birthday required. Or every child gets a birthday photo session and all of those sessions are preserved in the album or every child gets an album.

Truly, it’s all just about giving your children a tangible way of preserving their memories. Who knows? Maybe in a few years, they’ll secretly take one of those albums to college with them so that you’re close to them while they’re away. And then before you know it you’re going to their family’s photo sessions as the grandparent! That’s the beauty of traditions, they live on. You’ll get to show your grandchildren these albums and your grandchildren’s children. A whole library of family albums sounds like a dream to me!

Your family grows so quickly. One day I woke up and was the mother of a seven-year-old! I’m so thankful I took the time to make family albums so that I can look back and see them as small without having to scroll on my phone forever.  Digging through the cloud takes time while it takes me no time at all to take an album off the shelf and take a walk down memory lane.
