Before you know it, Dad, you will be walking your daughter down the aisle or toasting to your son at his wedding. I can only imagine that as a parent on that day, we’ll immediately think about the day they were born. We’ll wonder where the time went and guess what? They’ll want to reminisce too. 

Imagine if you were able to hand them a portrait as a way to remember that she will always be Daddy’s little girl? So often we think about what portraits will do for us- how they will allow us to hold onto these memories, but what about our children?  

I know portraits like these from my childhood are few and far between. I would do anything to have a memory like this with my Daddy. It’s why I am SO passionate about documenting your family, whether that’s a maternity session, newborn photos, or your annual family portraits. 

Memories Will Fade and Time Will Pass

You simply CANNOT get this time back and one day all you will have are faded memories. But photos…they take you back. They allow you to feel that same emotion, remember those little details, and recall stories that you may have otherwise forgotten. 

Trust me, I know it’s an investment. But you aren’t just paying for photos. You’re paying for an experience that I can confidently say is one-of-a-kind. You’re paying for your memories to be protected for a lifetime. And you’re paying for your time- time that is so so precious right now. 

If you’re a new parent, you may not know it just yet. I know it’s hard to envision, but your baby is going to grow so fast. Newborn photos are the most time-sensitive portraits. And perhaps more than any other season your family will walk through, this is the best yet. The early days of being a dad will be filled with ups and downs. But, I can promise you, you will miss this time someday.

As much as you’ll want to, you will not be able to go back in time. But you will be able to grab an album or see them on the walls of your home day in and day out, reminding you of just how special this moment was as you became a family.

Easy, Stress-Free Experience

My goal is to really make this experience so easy. The truth is, this is one of the first times you leave your house as a family of three (or with the newest member of your family). I want to make that first outing as easy and memorable as possible. I want you to remember it as a day that you got to celebrate your baby and how you connected as a couple and family, rather than it being chaotic. 

When you arrive at my studio I will have everything taken care of. Literally, all that you have to worry about is a pair of pants. I’ll take care of your wife- my hair and makeup team will be here waiting for her. While your wife is getting pampered, I’ll be taking photos of just baby. This means you can come an hour later, go grab a coffee, watch Netflix or take a nap on the couch. I even tell Dads to bring a pillow! Seriously, you get to relax… so please take advantage of it!

I have thought of every single little detail. You have my promise that the entire process will not only be easy but actually pretty fun. Your part usually only takes about 45-60 minutes (depending on siblings) But most importantly, I want your portrait experience with me to be free of stress and worry. I want to assure you that your wife will remember this day as one of the most relaxing as she transitions into her new role, she will feel beautiful and care for that day.

After the session, we’ll sit down and in about an hour we’ll decide what you’re going to do with your portraits. This means no more listening to your wife stress over creating an album or designing a gallery wall on her own. I’ve literally had Dads tell me, “I would rather sit on this couch for an hour doing this one time — than have to listen to my wife go on for the next six months agonizing over what photos she wants to print, what size and what color frame to choose.”

Want to know the best part though? I’ll even install the framed portraits you decide on for you. No more standing and staring at a wall waiting for her to make a decision. We’ll use our software to give her that visual most women need and design something beautiful for your home. You won’t have to argue with her about placement or venture off to the hardware store only to do some tricky math. We will install your gallery wall so you can keep making memories with your time off. 

I know this is a big decision, but as a parent let me tell you there is nothing I value more than seeing my kids’ faces and our family’s memories on the walls of our home. And nothing, I mean nothing is sweeter than sitting down with your big kids and looking through their baby albums. I know because I have lived it. I want YOU to be able to experience that too.
