When you think about documenting your baby’s milestones, I really hope six months is on your list! It’s one that some parents feel like they can skip but Mom and Dad, A LOT happens in between your newborn and first birthday sessions. Three babies later and hundreds of newborns photographed, it still baffles me how much they change. And trust me, Mom and Dad, documenting the in-between where they are starting to really show their personality and experience the world around them is worth documenting, too!
It’s one of the main reasons I recommend the First Year Collective and why it’s by far our most popular option for expecting parents. The collective ensures that in that fleeting first year of parenthood, you don’t miss out on preserving the memories you’ll want to remember years from now.
One of the things I love most about documenting milestones or getting to photograph clients over and over is being able to look back on past sessions. So much has changed in the last six months for sweet Mila. For starters, she’s awake and smiling! She’s also sitting up, playing with her toes, and smiling so big at Mom and Dad. The white headband she wore during her newborn session still fits but her hair is a little lighter.
I loved getting to hear how Carli and Mark are settling into parenthood and their favorite memories with Mila over the last six months. She is the absolute sweetest little girl and loves her Mom and Dad!
If you weren’t convinced before, look at this side by side of Mila. A lot changes in six short months!
Another side by side. I said this in Mila’s newborn session post, but you’ll never forget what it’s like to hold your baby on your chest. There’s also nothing quite like watching them grow in your arms. The tiny baby that once depended on you to support their little body and neck is now using you as a human jungle gym. It all happens in a matter of months.
