Oh these two little girls… Little Harper and darling Willow. Words alone cannot express how much I enjoyed spending the afternoon bathed in their precious presence. It is not very often that I get to wear the hat of a Tampa Twin Photographer, but when I do… magic happens.
I held a live feed of this session and reached a record viewership of 100K+ views and over 3K likes! What do you expect though, with two little girls as perfect as these with parents as stunning as theirs?!
Mom and dad are both realtors and head up The Mike and Michelle Team here in South Tampa. They decided to replace an art canvas display in their dining room that they weren’t in love with anymore with a full gallery wall comprised of selections from this session.
With that in mind, I wanted to focus on varying angles of each girl and create an atmosphere of symmetry throughout all the images. While the goal is to make these images appear as effortless as possible, there is actually an incredible amount of planning (and work) that goes into sessions such as this. Especially with twins! But every ounce of effort put into this session was paid back tenfold when we saw the end product. To help me in this endeavor, I had my assistant Deanna help make the entire day run as smoothly as possible. I had the great luck of meeting Deanna back in 2010 when we both worked and managed a studio together in Gainesville, FL.
With twins, I opt for styling that is more complementary rather than identical. We put each girl in similar headpieces, one in a headband/one in a bonnet, for example, and tried to create a more eclectic feel to the session. Harper, the slightly larger little one, was slightly jaundiced during this newborn session, which is why their coloring appeared so differently in the live feed, but I was able to help with that during the post processing (seeing as how she is much fairer skinned now that her jaundice has subsided).
I still can’t get over how much I adore these precious images. I can’t help but scroll back and forth through this session! Working with these two perfect little angels was an absolute dream come true.
