Sometimes you just have to let the precious moments and the photos do the talking when you can’t find the words. All of these strong, loving mamas were diagnosed with cancer within a year of their child’s first birthday. These mommy and me studio sessions were such a touching and inspiring experience.

Love Conquers All

When you look at the deep peace, love and joy that fills these photos, you will find that breast, thyroid, and brain cancer have nothing on a mother’s love. It transcends far beyond time and unexpected trials. The love of a mother can outshine even the darkest times and replace it with overflowing light and hope.

These kiddos have no idea how much their moms have gone through because the only things they see are the loving arms that hung the moon for them.

One of these lovely mamas, Jennifer, originally came to me after her husband passed away. She realized that she needed more photos of her family for both herself and her daughter to have for years and years to come. She wants to live life to the fullest and document all of those precious moments with her little girl.

I realized as a photographer, I had an opportunity to gift these priceless memoirs to families facing similar challenges. I found and met with these four incredible women to create this stunning set of moving photos.

They were all such a joy to watch as they laughed and played with their kiddos like no one was watching. My heart completely melted as I captured one beautiful moment after another. 

In these photos, you’ll only see huge smiles, uncontrollable laughter, and authentic silliness. This was such a memorable experience. I am truly grateful that these sweet ladies entrusted me to document these photos for them.
