This handsome little guy is one of the happiest kiddos I’ve ever met. His bright eyes can light up any room, and it’s impossible not to smile when he’s around. What a precious gift he is! He is the Bucalo Family’s first child together after many trying years of challenges.

But now they have the great joy of celebrating sweet Mason’s first birthday, and he was all about his time in front of the camera. He certainly isn’t shy, and he loved making faces and showing off all of his new skills he has acquired over the last year. This little man has transformed from a tiny newborn into a bouncing toddler, and we had a blast documenting this one year milestone session at the studio.

Mason loves to sing songs and read books with his parents – well, really any activity if his parents are involved. It is so clear how bonded this family is to each other. He has Dad wrapped around his little finger, and he thinks Mom hung the moon! Together, they had so many sweet, authentic moments.

All three are incredibly photogenic, and they did a great job of ignoring the camera. They just enjoyed each other’s company while I took photos of them doing their thing. He squealed with delight as Mom and Dad took turns flying him around like an airplane and raising him high in the air.

When it was time to get some of those adorable bare baby shots, he didn’t shy away from a chance to get rid of the clothes and crawl around the studio. Too cute!
