This is the sweetest family! Palat plays left wing for the Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Team, and he and his wife (and their sweet pup, too) just welcomed their first baby girl Adelka into the world! I had the pleasure of meeting the Palat’s when she was pregnant with baby Adelka, and I photographed her maternity session. This beautiful new mama is just stunning. I loved capturing her bump photos, and I couldn’t wait for the arrival of their precious little one. And here she is!

Adelka looked so sweet and snoozed her way through her very first photoshoot in true newborn fashion. They wanted simple, classic photos with lots of white, cream, and subtle accents of pink for Adelka. The timeless backdrop really allowed me to focus in on Adelka’s baby features, like her button nose, rosy cheeks, rosehip lips, and perfect fingers and toes. Those are the little details that we especially want to remember as parents. With the night feedings and short sleep cycles, this phase seems to go by in a blur, and I love being able to document the sweet moments and flawless features of their babies while they’re still brand-new. Someday, when Adelka is older, she can sit with her parents as they show her the newborn photos. Even toddlers seem fascinated by seeing themselves as tiny babies. She’ll see how very loved she was from the start.

In addition to the newborn photos, we also did several family portraits. Newborn portraits are a great opportunity to capture the whole family as they step out into this new adventure together. I know some new mamas don’t feel up for photos quite yet, but I always try to assure them that they look so very beautiful as they are, and they will love having these photos to look back on later. This is such a special time worth capturing.
