It wasn’t that long ago that we were photographing baby Graham’s first birthday, and now he’s going to be a big brother! To celebrate, I met up with the Virgili family for a maternity session at Cypress Point Park. My time with them always goes by too fast, but the good news is we will be doing another first-year collective for baby #3…a GIRL!

Mom chose two dresses from the client wardrobe. First, a blush dress with an off-the-shoulder sequin bodice and tulle skirt. I love this color on Moms, especially against the tall grace at Cypress Point Park. We finished her maternity session with a white lace dress.  Not only did she look stunning in both dresses, but the two complimented each other and coordinated well with dresses from previous photoshoots.

I always encourage clients that are doing multiple sessions, whether it be for baby’s first year or annual family portraits, to keep that in mind when choosing wardrobe. Because we have so many repeat clients, we are constantly refreshing the wardrobe so that you have a variety of dresses (and children’s clothing) to choose from.

Celebrate Each Pregnancy with a Maternity Session

After choosing beautiful dresses, styling the boys, and Mom being pampered by our amazing hair and makeup artist, we headed out for their maternity session at Cypress Point. I was thankful that the weather cooperated and we had a beautiful sunset to end the session. As always, the boys were a joy to photograph. They loved running around (especially under the blanket!) and were so sweet with Mom!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned since my first pregnancy, there is nothing like your first. You don’t realize just how special your first pregnancy is until it’s passed. And the pregnancies that follow will seem like a blur as you chase around little ones. But Momma, let me tell you…celebrate each one. Take the time and take the photos. You won’t regret it. In fact, it’s pretty special looking down at your little one(s) as they hug your pregnant belly.

Soon you’ll welcome another baby into your family, your arms, and your heart. Cherish these moments!
