From under the oaks to the beach, we could not have asked for a more beautiful sunset session for Alexandra and David. As a maternity and newborn photographer in Tampa, FL, I get to work with the most amazing couples, but nothing beats getting to document this season for first-time parents.

It’s truly so special, you only get to go through your first pregnancy once. And sure, it sounds so obvious, but you don’t understand just HOW special it is until it’s passed. Celebrate your marriage and the life you have created. The best is yet to come and it’s going to be the greatest adventure, but savor these moments just the two of you!

Alexandra and David are doing just that! During their maternity session, they were of course excited about the upcoming arrival of their baby boy, but they were present with one another and the love they share is so beautiful. How lucky am I, that they chose me as their photographer? It’s never lost on me what an honor it is.

Parents, this part of your story is worth documenting. Freeze this chapter in your life. Invest in your memories, I promise, it is always worth it! 

Wardrobe: 3 Dresses for Mom

Alexandra is an incredibly talented makeup and nail artist, so getting herself ready for her maternity session was something she looked forward to doing. She did such an amazing job and looks absolutely stunning! Be sure to follow her on her Instagram and TikTok for tutorials and see her work!

She did, however, take full advantage of the client wardrobe. This was one of those moments that reminded me why I have a wardrobe and why it’s such a valuable service for my clients. Alexandra was able to come into the studio and try on multiple dresses and ultimately chose to wear three for her session. Three dresses – two blue and one white, all coordinating beautifully together to give her a cohesive look.

Most people cannot imagine going to the store and finding one dress, much less three. The time, investment, and ability to coordinate three different looks is not something most people can or want to do. That is an option that’s readily available to you when hiring Brittany Elise Photography. The last thing I want you to do is stress over what to wear when you should be focused on celebrating your baby.

This maternity session was also really exciting to photograph because Alexandra is due just a couple of weeks before me. Sadly, that means I won’t be able to document their newborn session, but we will be doing a six-month and first birthday session and I’m already counting down (but not too quickly!) until I get to see them again!
