From watching your bump grow to your baby turn one, I cannot tell you how important it is to document these fleeting seasons. I don’t continue sharing this message because I am a Tampa baby and family photographer, but because I am a mom too.
I am currently pregnant with my third and with each one, I feel the need to try to freeze time more and more. It’s a mix of wanting to celebrate every moment with the baby I am carrying but also wanting to savor every moment with his/her big brother and sister. Documenting it along the way has been so exciting and I want the same for you, too!
Just knowing how many babies are born in the Tampa area every day, I know there are many families missing out on newborn photos. As a mom that breaks my heart and as a photographer, I want to do everything I can to make it possible for you. That’s why I have created a first year collective for babies, complete with a full-service client experience. I don’t want you to avoid booking a newborn photographer because you are overwhelmed by the process.
When you book a first year collective with Brittany Elise Photography, you can be confident that every detail is taken care of for you.
From that first phone call to the installation of artwork in your home, we’ll be there every step of the way. This year is going to fly by and we don’t want you to miss a moment. The memories you’re investing in today are the stories you’ll be telling your children and their children one day.
Momma, don’t skip out on a maternity session. I get it, you are so uncomfortable. Getting dressed up and in front of a camera is the last thing you want to do. But I’ve worked with hundreds of mommas and I’ve never had one tell me they regret taking maternity photos. I have, however, heard from too many that they regret not doing them. Don’t let that be you!
Your newborn session generally takes place about 10-14 days after they are born in our studio right here in Tampa. That tiny baby freshness only lasts a few weeks. In a matter of days, your baby changes and we really try to document their session during that time.
That said, over this past year we have done newborn sessions with much older babies and I absolutely adore every single one of them. This happens sometimes, especially if you have a NICU baby or just need extra recovery time after delivery.
The sitter milestone session is usually around six to eight months and most often done in the studio. Some parents will choose to do it right at six months but I typically recommend that baby is sitting. Also around this age, they are starting to interact and smile more and play with their little toes. If I’m lucky, some gummy little smiles and rolls! You can choose to have the whole family join, just baby, or make it a mommy and me session!
It’s time to celebrate your one-year-old with their first birthday session. Often times we will do a cake smash in the studio and then an outdoor session in the Tampa area. I do encourage you to make this a family session and while we will make sure to get portraits of your one-year-old, this is a huge milestone for your family.
We’ll take this time to create more beautiful memories and document the love and connection your family shares. Years from now, I want your portraits to take you back to this very moment.
Mom and Dad, if you’re considering a first year collective for your baby, please contact me. We only book so many per year and I don’t want you to miss out!
