How absolutely stunning is this mommy-to-be!? There’s just some colors that certain people are made for, and Andrea was quite obviously made for emerald green. Swoon!! The combination of her soft curls, a gorgeous gown from A Pea in a Pod by Nicole Miller, and stunning floral crown from Couture Phantasies literally took my breath away. Editing this session was such a treat for this Tampa Natural Light Maternity Photographer! I can’t tell you how many times I scrolled back and forth, trying to pick my favorites. A tall order with a mama as radiant as this!

About this session

Not all may know this, but while photography has always been a love of mine, it wasn’t my first career. Before I started Brittany Elise Photography, I was actually a NICU nurse at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital. I spent my days caring for and loving on sweet little ones who needed just a little more TLC before they could head home and make their big debut in this big wide world. Working with those sweet babes, so fragile and yet so strong, forever left a mark on my heart. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and It’s no surprise that I gravitated back towards them after opening my own photography business. I like to think that my 12,000+ hours of experience as a NICU nurse has played an immense role in the quick growth of my business.

This sweet couple found me through a few nurse friends that I used to work with at St. Joseph’s. Andrea is an ARNP (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner) who also works with expecting mommies and Adam, soon-to-be-daddy, is a Nurse Anesthetist. We instantly clicked. Knowing the immense workload, long shifts, and the ups and downs that inevitably come along with the choice to work in the healthcare industry gave us an endless list of topics to talk and laugh about. Spending the afternoon bathed in golden light and their sweet company was such an amazing treat!
