The Hornof family has been some of my most memorable sessions to date. Little baby Julia has some really cool and super fabulous parents.

Jessica and Jason wanted to document every moment of this little girls beginning including her official welcome to the world during their “Hospital Welcome session”. Bringing a baby into the world is overwhelming. The rush of emotions (hormones), visitors, text messages and so much more – it can really be overwhelming. Especially for first time parents who are learning how to care for a baby…. When you’re finally home, it can feel like your a whirlwind. Thats why hospital welcome sessions are so wonderful!!! It allows the parents to put their phones down, their personal cameras and just enjoy how amazing this moment truly is.

I really just love the happiness that beams in theses Hospital Welcome sessions. Those precious first interactions with your brand new baby are so special. Their first yawn, the way they look at you for the first time, the first time grandma get to hold baby…. its all just a rush of wonderful happy moments and being truly apart of them, without a camera between you and that momement is important. Thats where I come in – to document those special moments for you. For me these sessions are about feeling, small moments, the details of the day… for parents, its not just a photo its a memory forever ingrained in their mind…

Quite possibly the sweetest thing ever – a friend brought baby Julia her first ever birthday cake – after all, it was her BIRTHday! Mommy and daddy put on their cone birthday hats and sang to her! Julia wasn’t exactly the biggest fan but the moment was beyond precious I was so excited to be apart of it!
