Ten perfect toes, feather soft hair, perfect squishy roles and perfectly kissable pouty lips… What’s your favorite thing about sweet little ones? As a Tampa Newborn Portrait Photographer, I love newborn sessions most of all because I love watching these two love-drunk parents look adoringly down on their little blessing, falling in love, not only with her, but with each other, a little more every time. There’s something about having an embodiment of your love that adds such solidarity and strength to a relationship.
Little Amelia Rose here blessed her sweet mommy and daddy with her presence on January 28th, weighing in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces and measuring just over 19 inches long. When names are passed down through families, I feel as though an immediate bond is created, spanning generations. Darling Amelia was blessed by both of her sweet grandmother’s, Rose and Rosemary, for her precious middle name.
I also have a personal connection to her momma, Allison and I went to high school together at Tampa Preparatory School many years ago and reconnected as members of the Junior League of Tampa. She was a provisional while I was a provisional mentor and then we both worked together closely on the Kid in the Kitchen project which helps educate children about healthy eating and an active lifestyle. 🙂
Right after Amelia made her big debut, this sweet family had all sorts of visitors who couldn’t wait to introduce themselves. Both sets of grandparents were present, one set of great-grandparents (how exciting!), her uncle, a few close friends and her sweet godparents were all able to come. Even though she is only a few days old, we already know this sweet little thing is going to be a daddy’s girl! She loves cuddling and napping on his chest. How sweet! I can only imagine the bond these two will have over the years!
The theme of the nursery is pink, cream and white with a few lamb details here and there. They even have a hand-carved mirror who’s original home was in her mommy’s grandmother’s house. We wanted to do soft pink accents and feminine details for this session. I really think these images will fit wonderfully in such a sweet nursery!
