As soon as I met this couple for their gorgeous maternity session, I couldn’t wait to meet their little girl. The love and connection they share is so palpable, I couldn’t help but get wrapped up in the excitement filling the air for the arrival of Lailani. As a Tampa Newborn Studio Photographer with a Natural Light Photography studio, the best part about my job is watching families like this one grow.

Growth is such a beautiful and almost sad thing at the same time. I remember when my son was born, I was so tearful each day he grew bigger. I wanted to keep him a baby, as tiny and perfect as the first time I was able to hold him. We could just imagine his tiny hand, wrapped around my thumb would one day stretch past my fingers. How I wanted so desperately to hit the pause button on life and just watch him drift off into his peaceful dreamland. But, alas, time has a different plan for me and my little man. He has grown into such a beautiful little boy. So full of life, constantly leaving his mama in a fit of giggles. What a beautiful ride this parenthood thing is, don’t you think?

Just as they did for their maternity session, these two beautiful parents drove over an hour to work with me for Lailani’s newborn session. What an incredible compliment it was to work with them for not only one, but two wonderful collections <3
