Look at all of that soft hair! Don’t you just want to snuggle this little guy? Beau and Rachel welcomed their baby boy, Dax, on March 22, 2019. When they scheduled their newborn session, they were both looking for a collection of bright, classic, and real photos.

I loved the style they were going for, and we incorporated lots of natural light, soft backdrops, and candid moments to create more of a lifestyle feel for their collection of newborn and family portraits – isn’t that little yawn the best thing ever?!

About this Gorgeous Family!

Rachel looked so lovely in her flowy white dress. You didn’t even have to hear the words she was whispering to her new baby boy to know that she loves him with all of her heart. Her eyes lit up every time she held him and looked into his tiny face – there’s really nothing more beautiful than a mother’s love, and it’s such an honor to be able to capture it for families.

Unlike some sessions that focus almost solely on the mother and baby, I loved that Beau was up for taking several sweet photos with his newborn son. He was so gentle, loving, and attentive, and it’s easy to see that little Dax already feels quite at home in his father’s strong arms. The pictures of the two of them were just priceless, and I know that both of them will cherish these photos as Dax grows over the years.

He may be their first human baby, but Dax also has an older “brother,” a 3.5-year-old goldendoodle named Stanley, that watches after him closely when he’s sleeping or in his swing. Stanley is one of the most well-behaved four-legged friends I have ever seen, and he did great in this shoot! The pictures of the two of them melted my heart.
