Newly-inducted big sister Ella may not be very old, but this little cutie is already embracing her new role as the oldest sibling. With the arrival of baby Daniel, the Martinez’ went from a family of three to four – a perfect balance. 

No Greater Bond

There’s nothing quite like the bond between siblings. Right from day one, they are introduced to each other as forever friends (or maybe built-in partners in crime, rather). In my experience, siblings always remain there for each other through thick and thin. This is true even as they grow older – no matter the years spent apart or the miles between them

Ella and Daniel are at the very beginning of that fun journey. As little Daniel slept his way through his newborn session he remained completely unaware of the gentle way his older sister kissed his forehead. But judging by the cozy, sleepy look on his face when she snuggled in close, he could already feel her love. He looked so peaceful snoozing away next to her.

I know they will have their fair share of squabbles, fights, and disagreements throughout the years, but I have a feeling they will also become each other’s greatest confidantes, supporters, and protectors. That’s just the way it works. 

These two wonderful parents looked so in love and proud of their little ones as they welcomed their handsome baby boy home. They may be tired, but the joy on their faces completely outshines any signs of exhaustion. I loved capturing the adoration on their faces as they talked to and played with Ella and Daniel. Candid moments are always the sweetest. 

And of course, I also got plenty of newborn portraits of baby Daniel by himself. My heart always melts when I zoom in on those impossibly tiny fingernails, feather-soft hair, and sweet little lips. Over the next twelve months, he’ll transform into an energetic toddler, and I can’t wait to watch him grow! Congratulations to the Martinez family of four!
