The W family was so fun to work with, natural light just poured into their Davis Island home making it ideal for a lifestyle photo session. With water views and sunny skies we are so lucky to have warm weather here in Tampa year round and this home truly maximizes the Florida lifestyle.

Sweet baby Hazel arrived in December just before Christmas! Her mommy and daddy wanted a session that was true to life, simple and sweet. These images tell their story and share those fresh new interactions that are so special. Her room was a calm space filled with natural light pouring in from a pair a french doors that walk out to a balcony overlooking  large back yard and the water. A true escape for any princess!

Her room was inspired by colors of coral and grey with lots of white. The soft rug by Dash and Albert grounded the space making it inviting and cozy with a clean modern feel. The art hanging over her crib, a custom piece painted by her mommy, tied the space together. The coral book shelf from  “Oh Whatever” furniture and decor boutique pulled in that pop of color. The chandelier, crib, linens and draperies where all purchase from Pottery Barn Kids.  The vintage dresser was a Craigslist find, painted and finished with brass hardware. The Rocker was purchased from Restoration Hardward and makes for a cozy space to read one of the many books on her book shelf. Also amongst her books where images of her mommy and daddy along with a pair of bronzed baby shoes once worn by her daddy, a sterling silver baby rattle, piggy bank and silver Mariposa frames. The alligator book ends are a special touch as both mommy and daddy are huge Florida Gator fans. And the most special detail of all, the custom flamingo and alligator art piece by mommy’s friend  Maggie Sage Shaffer, a graphic designer who owns Maggie Sage Design. She designed the print special for Hazel’s baby shower invitation. She’s an unbelievable artist and is about to launch a new venture called Sagebrushed which features hand drawn greeting cards made right here in Florida!

This airy nursery was a retreat for sure! I so loved being able to step into this Davis Island home to capture this Newborn Lifestyle Session. Tiny toes, baby yawns and sweet kisses are just some of the details that make lifestyle photography so precious.
