Jolie Blu’s First Portrait Session | Tampa Newborn Photographer

Jolie Blumenthal Malin or “Jolie Blu” was born in late June to Alyssa and Jesse. She was named after Jesse’s mom “Joanie” who passed away on January 19th. What a wonderful way to carry on her legacy of love. 

We chose to go with a simple yet elegant theme for Jolie’s newborn photo session. Natural lighting was to be the key, and my studio in Tampa is just the place for that. To go with such a soft backdrop, Alyssa wore a lovely, flowy lace dress, Jesse wore soft tans and grays, and sweet baby Jolie wore a delicate white swaddle. I absolutely loved the peaceful aura created by the combination of the light colors, natural light, and soft smiles.

Jolie was an absolute doll for her photos. She had the most expressive face! Her eyes were so alert and inquisitive. That sweet little floral headbands were so cute! They were such perfect dainty details for the perfect little girl. And I just love the pictures of Alyssa holding Jolie in the rocking chair! Especially the one with their Maltese, Daisy, in the foreground. Daisy is still getting used to having Jolie around, but she loves her nonetheless. She even seems to be coming around to the idea of looking out for her while she naps. 

Pictures with the family of three were an absolute joy to take. They were so easy-going with all of the different poses and angles. Both Mom and Dad just loved taking photos with their sweet precious girl. Look at that big yawn as she snuggles into her daddy’s arms after a long day of looking precious for the camera! 

I just cannot say enough about how much I loved the theme of this photo session. While it was simple, it was absolutely stunning. The natural lighting was gorgeous, and it served to highlight the natural beauty of this wonderful growing family.
