Sadie Miles Strahan made her grand debut into this beautiful world on January, 20th and we couldn’t be more excited to say, “Hello!” Sadie’s mom, Lauren, is an amazing pediatric dentist at South Tampa Kids Dental Krewe, and is in the Junior League of Tampa along with me. When she approached me about this newborn session, we definitely knew we wanted to create a more organic, natural feel to these pictures as opposed to a posed, in-studio approach, but she had concerns about the amount of lighting available in Sadie’s nursery. However, when I came to check out the space, it was PERFECT! There was a small window ideally positioned right behind Sadie’s crib that allowed the perfect amount of lighting in that bounced in, hit the floor and scattered all around the room. Being a Tampa Newborn Lifestyle Photographer this was an absolute dream come true!

I loved that we were able to incorporate Sadie’s big brother, Huckleberry. I couldn’t help but think back to Nana, the Darling’s nanny in Peter Pan. No joke, I giggled when I saw the way he paced around protecting (and inspecting) his brand new best friend.

I can already tell that this little bundle of joy will be loved so deeply, just from how much of a family affair this entire session was. After voicing concerns about her nursery’s lighting, Sadie’s awesome soon-to-be Auntie took it upon herself to redecorate the entire space. Her goal was to make it as comfortable and functional for both baby and mommy while also being eco-friendly. How amazing is that?! The artwork hanging above Sadie’s changing table was a custom art project made by her little cousins. Be still my heart! We even got daddy to giggle and grin throughout the session. Not tooting my own horn, but…toot, toot 😉  My job as a Tampa Newborn Lifestyle Photographer is so much fun!

When Lauren came in to see her images, she cried during the video (which I love to see) To know that my work has evoked in my clients such emotion and to have them share those emotions with me…This is why I LOVE what I do. It’s those moments that leave an everlasting mark on your heart and remind you that this is so much more than just a job. Mommy kept repeating, “I’m so glad we did this! She is so much bigger already!” Truly, quality photography is an investment guaranteed to grow over time!
