Oh, this handsome little chunk was such a joy to photograph. What more could you want in a collection of newborn photos than squishy cheeks, precious sleepy smiles, and velvety soft skin? Sweet Maverick had it all, and he was almost too adorable for words. I couldn’t take a bad photo of this little guy if I tried! This session is the exact reason I love being a newborn natural lighting photographer!

Maverick Michael Powers is Sabrina and Eddie’s first child together – at least as far as humans go (they have a couple fur babies who are already loving their new brother). He was born on at the end of May, over one month before his due date! But he was ready to see the world and couldn’t wait any longer. Plus, he didn’t have any trouble in the eating department. He’s already growing like a weed! We had to schedule their session fast before he got any bigger. This little warrior will be ready to take on anything, and I have a feeling he’ll be hitting those first-year milestones one after another. 

But for this session, he was content just snoozing away. He didn’t even know that he was in the spotlight as we moved him around to different poses – I sure wish I could sleep like that! Baby Maverick is as precious as can be, and I loved getting the detail shots of him: his tiny fingernails, those soft lashes, his sweet mouth as he unknowingly gave us the perfect smile. I would want to hang all of these up and let his handsome face light up the walls.

In addition to the many newborn portraits, we added in quite a few family portraits showing the love Sabrina and Eddie have for each other and their deep love and adoration for their new son. What an honor it was to capture these precious moments for them.
